No updates for a week because the connection in the hospital wasn't really stable. I returned to Penang for a week to attend to my father's needs. He was hospitalised for 5 days after his surgery to remove cancer cells. Thanks to Dr. Leong, my dad is recovering fast now :) The surgery took almost 5 hours (including the time after surgery is done but he was placed in the operating theatre for observation to ensure his condition is stable).. Simon came over to pick up my father from the hospital yesterday.
Thanks to many friends and relatives who dropped by for a visit. Some even bought gifts for ME as well.. LOL!
My poor Milo (pet dog) also suffered from disease. Since none of us were free to take care of him for a couple of days (besides feeding him), I only realised his wound right before I returned to KL. No wonder he has no appetite these few days, diarrhea and had been whining and howling.. Apparently some stupid flies laid eggs in his wound and now led to maggot infestation! Poor Milo must be suffering like hell these few days.. I rushed him to the vet for treatment..
What kept me occupied during the hours I spent in Lam Wah Ee Hospital for almost a week? Thanks to my beloved BFF (E4), I managed to finish all 4 of the Twilight Saga series in a few days!
Although most readers like Book 4 (Breaking Dawn) the most.. I still think I like Book 1 (Twilight).. :) How it all started :)

Shan Yoong's Farewell
It was Shan Yoong's (intern from UNIMAP) farewell last Friday. He has been working in BT for 6 months. Now, there're only 2 interns left in our lab. More to join next month ;)He's on special diet. His mom requested him to eat only certain types of food after he recovered from measles. It's not that we tortured him by only paying for toasted bread and a cup of drink for his farewell. LOL. After all, he was still smiling happily eh?
Shan Yoong worked in Hui Na's team.
Shan Yoong and the girls.
Bye bye Shan Yoong! All the best to you and hope you enjoyed your stay in our lab! :)

YJ's Business Trip to.. KL!
YJ came over to KL for 4 days for her business trip (training) last week. Again, we ate a lot everyday -_-"
Last Wednesday, Janice, YJ, Phaik Hoon, Tian Wen and I went over to Midvalley Megamall for dinner at Dominos; then movie at GSC (Paul Blart's Mall Cop). The movie is predictable but still funny to watch! Tian Wen tagged along even though she doesn't know anyone else except me (and heard of YJ before). LOL.Last Thursday, Joan Ann, Teik Lean, Janice, Phaik Hoon, YJ, Nicole (YJ's ex-colleague) and I went over to Mizi-mizi Shabu in Puchong to have our dinner..
The original plan was to have dinner at Bumbu Bali but they were closed for renovation until May 17..
YJ and her ex-colleague (Nicole)..
We had dinner for almost 3 hours -_-"
We were the last few to leave, the waiters had to clean our table to hint us to leave :P
Joan Ann is always shy about her assets.. In this picture, you can see Teik Lean pointing to her assets and Joan Ann showing thumbs up! LOL..

My Brother's Engineering Master Project
Note: This post is meant for my mom again..
My brother is completing his MEng Sc in University of Queensland this July. We shall attend his convocation end of this year if my mom is able to find someone to take care of the shop while she's away. Again, my mom wants to take a look at pictures of my brother's autonomous blimp. Our first question was:" Can it really fly?"I guess it can!
Well, he's an engineer, not a designer.. so I guess the mini blimp looks kind of plain..
A real one looks something like this ;)

Remember my previous posting in an attempt to win movie passes to Ghost of Girlfriends Past premiere screening? Check out the contest here. Here are 3 simple steps we did to get invited for the special screening:

- Show the poster of the movie at the end of the entry .
- Send in an email to Nuffnang to inform blog post's permalink (URL)
First 75 write-ins will be given a pair of invitations to the special screening of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past! The first 10 write-ins will also receive limited edition merchandises from the movie which is not available for sale anywhere else! (Too bad I'm not the first 10..LOL!)
Thanks to Nuffnang, I have been officially invited to attend the premiere screening on July 23, at One-Utama! I'm allowed to bring one guest! LOL..

Visiting USJ Heights
Our Penang house is now around 20+ years old.. My parents decided to go for renovation and we have searched high and low for sample designs.. During my parents' visit to KL, we went over to USJ Heights to check out their show room for inspiration..
Their designs are simple and nice.. (but who's going to wipe each of those light bulbs pointing outwards)
One can see the dry kitchen + dining table + living room but the wet kitchen is separated (not captured in this picture).. The dry kitchen looks quite nice with a kitchen island (if we have enough space)..
The guest rooms looks quite simple and nice..
Guest toilet..
Master bedroom on first floor..
Connected to a little study/ working area..
Bedroom #2 on first floor.. and there's another Bedroom #3 next to it..
There's a small living area on first floor, too.
On second floor, they designed a bachelor pad.. Or, if you argue with your wife, she may kick you out of the bedroom and you can sleep upstairs. Aren't men glad that they don't have to sleep on the couch or with the dog at the car porch anymore? ;)
Then, we went to the next show house next door.. to find less modern designs..
And a separate living room next to it.. (which I have no idea what is it for)
Going upstairs you'll see another living area.. which serves no purpose other than allowing you to sit down and look at the wall..
Instead of having the master bedroom on first floor.. this showhouse has a third living area instead.. I assumed the designer is expecting a lot of guests.. after all, it IS a show house huh..
Bedroom #2.. next to Bedroom #3..
On second floor, instead of the bachelor pad in the previous show house, they have their master bedroom on second floor..
With walk-in closet and bathroom hidden behind magic door #1.. I was hiding in the toilet and calling out to my parents.. my mom kept asking me where I was! :P
There! I played hide-and-seek with my parents! :P
How much is this unit? Selling for RM800,000++! Around 3,000 sq ft..

My Second Blood Donation Experience
I've talked about my first blood donation experience last year.. This time, from 6-8 May, there's a blood donation booth at Ground floor, Block 3A, Plaza Sentral, just near our office..Phuong and I wanted to donate blood.. Too bad she's a foreigner and she had returned to Vietnam a couple of months ago, therefore not eligible! Hmm..
Ended up Ah Mao only took pictures of me going through the whole process..
No, Ah Mao is not donating because he claimed that he's underweight.. Now we all know that it's not true..
Getting ready to lose some blood!
Many donors were taking pictures using their mobile phones as well.. LOL!
I had to squeeze the lil' pipe they asked me to hold on to.. if not, the blood flow would be too slow.. but the air-cond was so strong.. my left arm was freezing.. In fact, I didn't experience the pins-and-needles feelings on my left arm last time..
Then, I had to lie down for about 10 minutes so that I won't feel dizzy after that..
Bye bye 450 uL of blood! I was then given food and drinks plus a certificate!

Ah Mao: Last time not live mah.. this time it's LIVE!
Note: "Bares All" implies 真心告白 (Reveal truth) or 完全赤裸 (Completely naked)

I Can Relate to Ghosts of Girlfriends Past
I'm taking part to write in about the movie "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" and praying that I'll get a pair of invitations to the Special screening of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past happening on June 2 (Thanks to Nuffnang, the winners get to see the movie 2 days before the official release in Malaysia!)! Just in time to celebrate my bf's birthday a couple of days earlier! (And to serve as a reminder to him that he'll be haunted for life if he dates too many girls.. not that he ever dated many -_-")
I'm not supposed to write about guys who date many girls at the same time because we're supposed to keep it a secret from the other girls they're also dating -_-" (Or the other way around, girls who dated many guys at the same time).. Sometimes I don't get it.. a guy friend would bring different girls out to meet up with the rest of the gang every week.. And, yes, we're supposed to act surprised, be friendly to the girl.. Well, after all, we may not see the same girl next week huh? Who knows, the girls might be seeing other guys too!
In fact, look at what happened in Singapore.. The lovers (a married secretary and her boss - no, they're not married to each other) were too stingy to pay for motel/ hotel and they ended up pleasing each other in a car at a park! When another vehicle accidentally knocked into their car, the secretary bit off her boss' penis! Woo hoo -_-" To make matters worse for the secretary, her husband had sent a private investigator to spy on her after suspecting that she was cheating on him. They must be shocked to look at such bloody scene..
They should have learned from the professionals.. LOL!
No no no, this movie is not about biting off penis, it's about a bachelor (Connor Mead) who does not even hesitate to break up with 3 girlfriends on a conference call so that he can be with another girl who sits behind him.. but when it comes to the only girl who seemed to be immune to his charm, he needs a lil' help going after the one who matters.. Ya da ya da ya da.. Sounds pretty repetitive and predictable (no twist to story) but let's see what this movie has to offer! From the trailer, the movie looks funny.. ;) For more information about the movie, visit www.ghostsofgirlfriendspastmovie.com

Malacca Trip
I've been to Malacca a couple of times but my mom claimed that she hasn't been there for decades! So, when my parents visited me during Labour Day weekend, Simon and I brought them to Malacca.. We thought most of the people would have gone back to their hometown on the night of April 30.. We thought wrong.. It took us more than 4 hours to get to Malacca from KL.. more than double the usual time required..
We bumped into Chee Choon and his family in Malacca.. what a pleasant surprise! :)
Church built in 1753..
My lovely parents..
My mom was brave enough to stand next to me when I snapped a couple of pictures with the white python for RM5.00.. Too bad she didn't dare to hold it (thus, I have no chance to comb my messy hair -_-").. Simon and my dad were too 'chicken' to get near us :P
My mom screamed and ran away when the python stared at us.. Let's call the white python Xiao Bai.. I wanted to kiss Xiao Bai but it stuck out its tongue.. it's pretty long.. and I'm not ready for french kiss..
The four of us on a trip! :)
One of their decorated trishaws.. partially sponsored by Digi to carry their advertisements.. playing latest English songs on the chart..
My dad thought it would cost about RM3.00 to take a ride.. my mom argued it must be at least RM20.00.. in fact.. it was RM40.00 per hour -_-"
My parents examining a cannon..
I had sun burn on my face after I returned from Malacca.. -_-" I guessed SPF20 is not enough -_-"
We went to nearby tourist attractions under hot hot sun..
There was a monk "asking" for donation at St. Paul's Church.. in fact, it was more like "forcing".. when I refused, he scolded me -_-"
In 1952, a statue of St. Francis Xavier was built to commemorate the passing of the saint. Originally, the statue was completely constructed with the right arm in place. However, on the morning after the consecration ceremony, a large casuarina tree fell on it and broke off the right arm, resulted in a statue with missing arm until today.
One of the tombstones and I.. -_-"
Uh oh, Simon broke the tombstone -_-"
That's Menara Taming Sari (Ngeow, 2009).. It has revolving observation cabin.. but we can still see the view at St. Paul's Church.. if we want revolving view, then we only need to walk aorund the church :P It's free of charge this way :PWe went for a walk at Jonker Street.. and saw a long queue for a particular shop which appeared on Ho Chiak TV programme before..
This is what they served at Mam Jonker 88..
Too lazy to wait in line, we didn't try the food at this shop.. we went to a deserted restaurant down the street but it was still quite alright (although the service is really slow)..
