Bye Bye Anu!

Anusuriya invited Hiew, Simon and I for lunch at Manhattan Fish Market yesterday.. She is flying over to Germany next Saturday.. Why? She has received an Euro grant to start her PhD in Münster University! Full scholarship with living allowance, accommodation, air tickets (even for her to fly over for interview in order to screen through candidates), winter clothing allowance.. and guess what? Her university (UTeM) has just given her 3 years study leave.. and will continue paying her salary even though she's studying in Germany for 3 years! Not really Germany for 3 years.. her second year will be in New York! Woo hoo!

Well, you must be wondering.. she will be bonded by her university for how long since they continue paying her salary? Only 3 years.. and guess what? If she decided not to stay with them.. she could just 'release' herself from the bond by paying RM60,000.. What a deal! Congratulations to you once again, Anu!

I flew back to KL on Fireflyz.. After my first bad experience, I thought I'll always be worried flying Fireflyz.. but I must say.. they've upgraded their planes! Brand new leather seats.. new interior.. I don't know about the engine but everything else looks new! Even the air stewardess are better looking now! Hahaha... They even served orange juice and muffin on board.. with no extra charges! They are now renovating Sky Park.. the 'new' subang airport!

A lot of sections are closed for renovation.. soon they'll have a small shopping haven in Sky Park!

We went to Amarin Heavenly Thai for dinner during their 50% discount promotion.. Guests from another table were singing birthday song and we were attracted by the birthday cake.. we asked where we can buy the cake.. but it was made by the birthday girl's mom!

Simon bought me a new dress to attend YJ's wedding dinner.. I think the evening dresses at Metrojaya, Midvalley are really really really nice.. you see most dresses at other boutiques in Midvalley.. e.g. Tatiana.. costing RM1000.. even with 50% promotion, it's really not worth it to buy! Other boutiques are selling evening dresses for RM200 to RM400! This is insane.. judging from the quality of those clothing.. I wouldn't even pay RM100 for them..

For RM200+.. I really love this evening dress.. too bad I didn't buy it.. because it looks a bit like wedding dress? Hahaha.. the quality is good too! Wayyyyy better than those costing RM1000 at Tatiana!

Simon bought this dark grey (with some patterns) dress for me.. it's plain but at least I look as if I'm taller when I wear this dress :P

To Everyone: To get these nice + quality dresses, please head to Metrojaya, Midvalley, Ground Floor, at the corner FURTHEST from the main entrance of Metrojaya.. That section is filled with evening dresses! I tried more than 10 dresses! :P I wanted so much to buy 5 dresses but at RM200+ per dress.. how to afford? So I ended up with ONE only :P

Trip Back to Penang

I bought an early birthday present (2 months early to be exact) for my dad.. A small wallet with keys holder..

And that's an early birthday (2 months earlier too) present for my mom.. anti-wrinkle stuff :P

My sis has returned from Queensland.. My brother will return from Queensland next weekend.. and no, I'm not coming back again to pick up my brother from the airport.. because I'm coming back again the following weekend.. I don't want to return to Pg every single week.. haha!

Then, I received a number of wedding invitations.. Ke-Xin's wedding on November 23..

YJ invited my whole family to her wedding dinner on November 16.. Thanks! Hehe..

YJ gave me a separate card.. muahaha.. because I'm IMPORTANT :P

YJ invited Simon and I :) Another wedding invitation card to be received from Lim Chin Chin.. for her wedding on November 15.. Yes.. she has the same name as me :P Just different surname :P

On Sunday, I went to try out my bridesmaid gown.. Yes, it's my first time being a bridesmaid and I'm glad I'm the bridesmaid for my best friend of 12 years+.. But guess what, I'm TOO FAT.. Yes, something which I hate to admit.. Oh well.. Why did those girls have chest measurement of 30 only? Ended up I have to walk out the dressing room with an assistant holding the gap between the zipper -_-" I've a wide rib cage? (blaming my mom)

Then, I get to view YJ and WH's wedding photos at Regal.. including the NG shots..:P I have to say, the outdoor shots and wayyyyy better than the indoor shots!

And? This is NOT from Regal.. this is from France and Taipei.. EACH AND EVERY PHOTO from that album is good! Advice? If you don't mind spending a lil' extra, try France and Taipei.. haha!

Abalone and Sausage

During bimonthly birthday party, we were talking about Amru's rendang chicken, then one thing led to another, suddenly.. we were talking about Ah Kiu (Gillian)'s bao yu (abalone) and Edison's sausage..

The problem is.. there were two individuals who couldn't understand why abalone (which part of human body does it refer to), another one couldn't relate what sausage supposed to represent..

A: What is bao yu?
Me: Wait, I try to find Edison n Gillian comic
A: There's comic?

A: *shocked*
Me: So, now you understand?

It's Sushi King RM2 promotion again from today until this Thursday.. 20 of us made it to Sushi King at Sooka Sentral to be kiasu.. We're also celebrating Karyn's belated birthday ;)

Kai Yin's Birthday Party

Sok Hoon invited a number of us to her youngest daughter (Kai Yin)'s one year's old birthday party.. We went to her new house at Kepong.. Hmm.. a three-storey gigantic house in Kepong to be exact.. LOL.. complete with security guard, CCTV, four dogs etc..

We bought her daughter a set of clothes.. Too bad Ling Chin was working in Penang, Ai Tee was sick, Emily Yee was sick as well + still going for her trip to HK, Emily Wong has no transport.. We offered to send her home though, but she felt it's just not convenient for us to send her all the way back to Batu Caves? Ended up I was there with Simon.. later when we were about to leave, we met up with a couple of my ex-classmates.. Lock Lee, Boon Chim and Sharon..:)

Ying Joo and Wei Huan's Wedding Photos

My mom has been pressuring me to upload photos of the couple.. becos she doesn't know how to use email.. she doesn't know how to access Facebook.. all she knows = my blog, Skype, Magnum 4D, Toto, 3D+1 results and Youtube.. they only have 4 photos so far because the two wedding photo studios are still processing the rest.. Yes, YJ (Adeline) and WH (William) have pulled their wedding date from 21 February 2009 to 16 November 2008! Instead of 5 months, now they have only 40 days to organise! Hahahaha!

Alwin Hoh's Full Moon Party

Simon's cousin's newborn (Alwin Hoh) (Roger Hiew's nephew) is now 1 month old! We attended his full moon party on Hari Raya :P They served food from Hainanese caterer.. Too bad Janice couldn't join us.. WHY? Because she works on Hari Raya! and on Oct 2.. she'll be working for 28 hours! She'll be back on Oct 3 afternoon.. -_-"

That's baby Alwin.. I think the parents want to win it all :P
